  1. FINANCE APPLICATIONS

Finance applications submitted through the Website or by a salesperson are subject to approval by Capitec Moto Data which is the relevant financial institution and normal credit criteria.

Submission of a finance enquiry does not constitute approval of finance or a commitment by Auto Addicts to provide finance.

  1. TRADE-IN VALUATIONS

Any trade-in valuation provided through the Website is an estimate only and remains subject to:

• Physical inspection;
• Verification of the vehicle’s condition;
• Service history;
• Vehicle documentation; and
• Any other relevant information.

  1. VEHICLE PURCHASE CONDITIONS: PROCESS AND PROCEDURE

Any purchase of a vehicle from Auto Addicts is subject to the terms and conditions contained in the applicable Offer to Purchase, Sales Agreement and any other documentation signed by the customer.

Customers are encouraged to inspect and test-drive vehicles before purchase and may, at their own expense, arrange for an independent third-party inspection prior to concluding a sale.

Vehicle condition, specifications, mileage and features are accepted by the customer as inspected and disclosed at the time of sale, subject to any rights afforded to consumers under applicable law.

Unless otherwise agreed in writing, all costs relating to licensing, registration, roadworthy certification, insurance and transfer fees are for the customer’s account.

On the day of purchase the relevant salesperson will read and record the entire sales agreement form, fault acknowledgement form and receipt of purchase in plain English to which the purchasing customer must acknowledge and sign each document. Once the process is complete the customer will receive the original documents.

Nothing contained in these Terms and Conditions or any sale documentation shall limit or exclude any rights or remedies available to consumers under the Consumer Protection Act, 68 of 2008.

  1. DEPOSITS, CANCELLATIONS AND REFUNDS

Deposits paid to reserve a vehicle may be refundable or forfeited depending on the circumstances and the terms of the signed sale agreement.

The deposit of a vehicle cannot be lower than R5000 and only holds that specific vehicle for up to 24 hours.

Where finance approval is a condition of sale and finance is declined, any refundable deposit will be returned subject to deductions for any agreed administrative costs.

Refund requests will be considered on a case-by-case basis and in accordance with applicable consumer protection legislation.

Nothing in these Terms and Conditions limits any rights afforded to consumers under the Consumer Protection Act, 68 of 2008.

Auto Addicts will acknowledge receipt of the complaint within five (5) business days and endeavour to resolve the matter within fifteen (15) business days where reasonably possible.
